The day i decided to cook…

I meant to post this earlier.Started a few lines but was just too lazy to end it..It was Fri night!! Not that i have any interesting,banging plans..but Hub was bugging me to hurry. So shut the lappy i did, wore something decent,left the toddler with Aunt Atin & nanny & to the car we went. Just wanted some alone,couple time( now that the boy has gotten acquainted with the nanny ) driving around, chit chatting & checking out houses.Not that we are house hunting..Not for another year at least.Can’t wait..ok that’s a story for another day  

Allright..sticking to the topic. I decided to take over the kitchen & whipped out a few simple dishes.It’s been a while..you know.And im not the best of cooks..but i do try ONCE in a while..

Menu : Very easy,very simple menu for lazy cooks like me.

Stir Fried Beef with Brocolli

1. Marinate beef with a little vinegar to tenderize.Leave it for at least 30min.
2. Sautee garlic,ginger,onion & red chilli ( all thinly sliced )
3. Fry beef
4.  Add 2tbsp oyster sauce , 1tbsp light soya sauce ,  a dash of pepper , 1/2cube of beef stock , sesame oil & lastly sprinkle some salt to taste
5.  Add Brocolli
6. Serve hot

 

 

Egg Tofu ( That’s what i call this dish..it doesnt even have a proper name!! Haha )

1.  In a flat pan, sautee sliced garlic.
2.  On the other side of the pan , fry the tofu ( do not slice it too thinly )
3.  Add 2tbsp oyster sauce , 1tsp dark soya sauce ,1tsp light soya sauce, sesame oil & a little bit of water
4.  Mix the gravy with the tofu ( Be extra careful as the tofu is very soft.)
5.  Add cornflour starch ( 1tsp + water )
6. Let it simmer for a while & serve hot.

 

See ?? Very easy right??  Told ya!! And its pretty decent! I seem to find it pretty tasty but then again..im biased  too
